An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated individual to join the Strategic Commissioning Team to support the assurance and improvement of the delivery of social care services across Westmorland and Furness. 


This role is a key part of the successful delivery of social care. If successful you will work with a wide range of internal and external partners such as: People who use adult social care services, people who provide services, social workers, commissioners, providers, health partners and the Care Quality Commission.

The role will include:

  • Build and maintain effective relationships with external and internal partners.
  • Carry out monitoring reviews of services (including onsite visits) and deliver reports based on findings.
  • Participate and/or lead muti-agency meetings.
  • Where required support the assurance of the delivery quality improvement plans.
  • Keep up to date and share excellent practice in social care.
  • Keep up to date and have excellent knowledge of legislative and regulatory requirements.
  • Promote a supportive ethos with partners to assure, maintain and improve quality in social care provision.
  • Effectively escalate issues as required.
