This is an exciting opportunity to join the CRSTAT (Community Rehabilitation short term assessment team) for a 6 month secondment.

We are a short-term adult rehabilitation team consisting of qualified/unqualified social care assessors, social workers, health and admin staff. Our remit is to work holistically and in collaboration with local services, service users, families/carers taking a strengths-based approach in accordance with the Care Act 2014 to promote independence and social inclusion.

We’re looking for a qualified, experienced Health and Adults Social Worker with substantial knowledge of adult social care legislation, principles and best practice.  You are also expected to have some management experience and be currently registered with Social Work England to join us. You’ll be responsible to the Team Manager. You will be required to have some experience of supervising staff, safeguarding, documenting case notes electronically, possible recruitment of staff and chairing of meetings.

This role involves screening, allocating cases and supporting staff. You will not routinely be expected to carry a caseload although you may need to either be case accountable or co work very complex cases or situations when necessary and provide advice, support, and guidance to staff whilst dealing with highly complex situations.

You are expected to contribute to embedding a culture of strengths-based practice and Continuous Professional Development for staff to develop their skills as well as being responsible for maintaining and promoting your own professional growth and development.
